Vipassana Meditation Sessions
Group and Individual
Led by Janine JutimaWelcome!
On this page, you will find all the meditation sessions organized to meditate in a group or individually with Janine Jutima, following the teachings of Master Dhiravamsa. Both in-person and online.
Of course! No prior experience is necessary, and you might wonder if an hour is too long for you—but that’s a thought that limits you before even trying.
So I recommend not focusing on obstacles or difficulties, but committing yourself to embark on a path that will help you reconnect with fullness, the joy of living, and the strength of being present with awareness.
It is a gathering where we practice Vipassana meditation to cultivate mindfulness (sati in Pali) as a tool to stay present and connected, uniting body and mind through observation.
These meditations can be done in a group or individually with Janine Jutima.
The teachings of the Buddha are followed, just as Master Dhiravamsa transmitted them, to see, hear, and feel reality as it is—without imaginations or distortions that interfere with our perception of the inner or outer world. By understanding ourselves deeply, we also come to understand others.
This is the path to physical, mental, and emotional well-being, which brings us back to the simplicity and purity of our being.
First, we gather either in person or via the Zoom platform to listen to a brief 10–15 minute introduction about the practice.
Then, we do a one-hour silent seated meditation to discover for ourselves the path that leads to the direct experience of the Buddha’s teachings.
Before meditating in silence, clear and precise instructions about the practice are given, along with recommendations for the day based on the Buddha’s Dharma teachings.
Day by day, we will better understand what meditation is about and how it helps us to know ourselves more deeply, manage our emotions more effectively, and gradually enter deeper states of calm and serenity.
